Theoretical references for its development in the professional of the Psychology-Pedagogy in initial training.

At present it is of great importance to develop emotional intelligence in professionals in training and mainly in Pedagogy-Psychology. This subject has theoretical and practical value for the exercise of the tasks and functions that this professional develops in different contexts of his professional performance. For this reason, it is vital to provide him with personal resources that allow solving the demands of an environment that requires not only managing knowledge, but also emotional resources that fosters a harmonious psychological climate in the different scenarios imposed by professional life. The present work aims to expose the main theoretical references of emotional intelligence to achieve its development in the professional of Pedagogy-Psychology in initial training as part of the continuous improvement of Higher Education in Cuba. In this work, the main ideas addressed by different authors are assumed and recreated.
