Abstract

The debate on participative management occupies a prominent place in the studies developed by specialists and business management professionals. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the subject by identifying the level of agreement between the main authors consulted and to characterize the currents of thought and key terms most commonly used in its definition. Statistical techniques such as Friedman's test, Kendall's concordance coefficient and cluster analysis were applied to evaluate the definitions of 56 specialists and to carry out a comparative study on different approaches and trends in the treatment of this category. Finally, an own enunciation of the concept of this category in the current Cuban business context is proposed.
