Incidence of Felling Trees as a Result of Urban Regeneration on the Well-Being of the Inhabitants of Canton Babahoyo

The cutting down of trees is a fundamental problem today, due to the lack of oxygen and environmental pollution. Therefore, this research will address the problem of tree cutting on General Barona Street in Babahoyo, which began with the urban regeneration of the Decentralized Municipal Autonomous Government, in 2021. Scientific, theoretical, and empirical methods will be used to describe the situation in this research. A survey of the residents of this area was conducted, where the majority of the population stated that the municipality is not giving enough importance to this situation. They also considered that it is necessary to repair the environmental damage caused. It was concluded that constitutional and organic laws are not being properly followed as stipulated.
