Studies of Inequalities by Skin Color in Cuba: 2008-2018

The purpose of the work is to analyze the results of a set of studies compiled on inequalities by skin color in Cuba, carried out between 2008 and 2018, a period during which a process of socio-economic transformations in the country begins and develops. It begins with some conceptual clarifications about race and skin color, below is a brief reference to the Cuban context specifically referring to social inequalities by skin color, then some comments on the information collected and analyzed; This leads to the analysis of the equity gaps in different areas - Access to higher education, Equity and social mobility, Perceptions and social representations, Health and well-being, Work / employment, Race relations and Poverty, vulnerability, social exclusion and marginalization- and to the intersectional analysis of inequalities. As conclusions, these results are evaluated based on their methodologies and contents.
