Dyssochroma is an endemic genus from Brazil with three previously described species. Specimens from the ALCB, BHCB, CEPEC, HUEFS and RB herbaria were analyzed, along with type specimens from other herbaria available in online databases. Two new species are described, both easily distinguished from other known species of the genus by their pubescent non-glandular multicellular trichomes indumentum on branches, calyx and corolla. Dyssochroma sp. nov. 1 is endemic to humid areas of the Caatinga domain in Pernambuco state. Dyssochroma sp. nov. 2 was found on the Mata Atlântica domain of Bahia state. We provide detailed descriptions, illustrations, field photos, conservation status, a distribution map, comparisons with similar and sympatric species and a dichotomous key to the species of Dyssochroma. This work is part of the results of the first author master's dissertation developed in the Postgraduate Program in Botany, with the support of CAPES (Código de Financiamento 001), CNPq, FAPESB, UEFS and FINAPESQ - Flora da Bahia (UEFS).
