Lista actualizada de los cangrejos braquiuros (Decapoda: Brachyura) de Cuba

La sistemática y taxonomía de los cangrejos braquiuros ha sufrido notables transformaciones en la última década, motivada por la revisión del uso de los caracteres morfológicos clásicos y la introducción de los estudios genéticos en la filogenia. En el presente trabajo se actualiza la lista de los braquiros marinos y dulceacuícolas de Cuba, utilizando un sistema de clasificación actualizado. Los datos referidos del archipiélago cubano databan del año 2000 e incluían 316 especies y subespecies (a las que se adicionaron 14 en años posteriores) y 20 familias. En la lista actualizada se reconocen 319 especies y 42 familias, no se relacionan subespecies. Dentro de las superfamilias Goneplacoidea, Majoidea y Xanthoidea se encuentran las mayores diferencias en la organización de las familias y géneros.
