Abstract

Achieving food sovereignty is a critical goal in the sustainable development agenda through 2030. This issue is a subject of exten-
sive state-level debates, and Ecuador has recognized it as a fundamental right in its Constitution. Despite significant resource allocation and extensive discussion, notable implementation obstacles remain. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the relevance of these obstacles in achieving food sovereignty in Ecuador, using a neutrosophic soft set approach. Empirical methods, including interviews and a neutrosophic soft set model, were employed for this purpose. The findings indicated that of the four initial statements, only three were true, and their importance was ranked as follows: first, the need to ensure the right to healthy food for vulnerable groups; second, the limited resource allocation to rural producers to increase regional food production; and third, the inadequacy of the legal framework to guarantee Ecuadorians' right to food sovereignty, in accordance with international agreements and the national Constitution.
