Abstract

Somatoform disorders encompass a range of entities and symptoms, including Conversion Disorder. This disorder is
characterized by diverse symptoms that often pose a challenge for specialists in establishing a diagnosis, given its
resemblance to functional neurological disorders, frequently interpreted as epileptic seizures. To enhance the effective
management of these patients, this investigation conducted a literature review using reference sites such as PubMed,
Scielo, Elsevier, and Research Gate. Additionally, neutrosophic methods facilitating decision-making, such as the
Neutrosophic Cognitive Map, were employed to identify factors aiding in accurate diagnosis, thereby contributing to
resource savings in medical tests and other procedures. The results underscore the necessity for the integration of a
multidisciplinary team in patient care, involving psychologists and psychiatrists from the initial evaluation stage
