Abstract

This study examines key initiatives related to the development and implementation of environmental sustainability and sustainable development indicators. These indicators, specifically designed to meet the needs of relevant users, constitute a system of signals that enables each country to assess its progress towards sustainable development. The aim of this research is to identify, through neutrosophic logic, the specific indicators of sustainable development that have the greatest impact in Ecuador. To achieve this, a documentary analysis is conducted, providing the primary information for the analysis, and leveraging the knowledge of experts in the field. Correlation coefficients are applied to single value neutrosophic numbers to create a ranking of sustainable development indicators. Ultimately, the results obtained allow for the adoption of policies and projects aimed at strengthening the national infra- structure in support of sustainability. Additionally, it is demonstrated that the application of neutrosophic techniques is a fundamental resource to be exploited in order to promote more elaborated and studied reasoning.
