Abstract

The objective of this work was to select with multicriteria models the best city to live in the United States among 8 options with 17
decision criteria. The methodology consisted first of all in selecting the criteria, then prioritize their weights through Saaty's
analytical hierarchical process (AHP), to then apply 4 multicriteria models, which were chosen: SAW, MOORA, TOPSIS and
ELECTRE, which coincided in the 3 best cities of the 8 calculated, being the best Minneapolis. Even though for places fourth to
eighth there were differences between the methods used, the important thing is that they all agreed on the selection of the best city, which was the objective of the study.
