Abstract

Engineers and managers of firms are involved in the “numeric revolution”, which is identified with the so-called BIG DATA problem. When dealing with Big Data is needed to use particular methods of low computational complexity . The aims of this paper are related with promoting the interest of taking into account the problems posed by dealing with Big Data, when developing social science studies. The use of quantitative methods is discussed considering the use of clustering techniques . An illustration is presented by analyzing a real case.
