Abstract

This work reviews the performance of an instrument used in three universities in Argentina to conduct a survey on the activities
of researchers working in the Engineering Faculties during an academic year. The consultation mainly collects information on
teaching, research, extension, linking, and project management activities. In addition to data on projects, research group, funding
sources, academic degree, job site, etc. The survey showed a consistent correlation between the distribution of the category of researchers who answered the survey and their total. The distribution of project managers exhibited consistency between category and qualification for access to scientific financing. In the scenarios proposed for the percentage determination of the workload in the work areas, the results showed a good correlation between the annual and weekly percentages. The section on the number of projects, director activity, financing (international, national, and University / Institute / Research Center). He showed a complementary vision of the workload and the composition of the portfolio of project financing funds.
