QUALITY SYSTEM FOR THE PROCESS CALIBRATION OF THE MICROMETER IN THE UAEM VALLE UNIVERSITY CENTER MEXICO
Keywords:

Based on the information collected from different generations and under the own experience of students providing social service
at the Centro Universitario Valle de México of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEM), the absence of elements
that determine, within the Engineering Measurement Laboratory, the reliability of the external range micrometers, in terms of their calibration, is perceived, so it affects the measurements obtained throughout the experimentation and practice that each student of the Industrial Engineering program performs. It is identified that the absence of a system that manages the calibration process has a direct impact as a competitive disadvantage in the professional training of students. It is proposed to implement a Quality Management System, in the Engineering Measurement Laboratory of the UAEM University Centre, which is capable of
controlling the calibration process, supported by the use of quality tools and methodologies; used both in companies and in laboratories of higher education institutions (IES).
