In this article it is described the main characteristics of a CASE tool that automates the design and the generation of the static structure of the database based on a method for the database design developed in our university. This tool leaves of a object-oriented model and it generates toward one relational database, exploiting Borland Delphi's potentialities for the work with these management systems. This work are also described some internal characteristics of their implementation that improve the software
quality, for example, the use of an algorithm based on the Stochastic Hills Climbing for the automatic classes diagram drawing.
