Abstract

Modern medicine has obtained many discoveries in healing of many diseases, however its most relevant results have been done in the field of prevention, for example it is very important to detect early an outbreak to avoid its propagation. There are many epidemic detection methods, but all of them have both vantages and limitations, it is fundamental to know them in order to avoid applying tests incorrectly. A validation of two temporal disease clusters tests with the simple epidemic model is present in this paper. The behavior of tests when risk factors are added to analysis is also presented.
