Abstract

One of the changes that are been promoted in the higher education is to broaden the process of students selection and offer better and equalitarian opportunities of study for Venezuelans. This will allow to continue with the project of “not excluding” education. All the process is based on governmental policies.
The structure of the process is based on behavior: aptitude and vocation are determined by using a diagnostic test. The result of this test is compared with the criteria profile that is based on the requirements of each career and the results obtained in UNEFA’s sites. The test focuses on the vocational characteristics and strength that a person is supposed to have to succeed and have continuity in the career. This new online process uses algorithms to classify students, considering individual results (the results are expressed in percents) that are compared criteria of each career. The results are considered comparing the persons profile the pre-set criteria- in each career.
