Abstract

The paper presents a strategy to reduce the dimension using the Robust Principal Component Analysis (PRCA) in combination
with the matrix CUR decomposition. The results are applied in a practical problem for the fit of a regression model using partial
least squares (PLS) so that in the modeling stage will have a deeper understanding of the sample. The first part of the work
contains the problem statement and a brief description of the methods used. The second describes the results and gives a
discussion of them.
