Abstract

It analyzes the situation of employment and unemployment in Mexico, through a statistical-descriptive study, with emphasis on aspects such as the composition of the employed population by economic sector, the increase in the informal labor market, and the relationship between employment and academic preparation. In addition, an econometric model of labor demand is estimated, in order to know the sense and degree of influence of the main determinants of the occupied population.
